Why Today Was Beautiful
1. Slept in late.
2. Rearranged my bedroom, thoroughly, including reorganizing closets and rearranging furniture.
3. Went out to the Oven for Indian food with Israel, complete with appetizer, a bottle of red wine, entrees--the works.*
4. Walked to Ivanna Cone to share a maple grape nut ice cream.
5. Went to a [mediocre] film, "The Education," at the Ross (the independent/arts theater).
6. Got a tour of the back room where they play the movies from big reels of film, since my friend Steven's the film-changer-dude.
7. Got Health Cookies in the mail from Laura. Second dessert of the night.
8. Spent the evening chatting with my couchsurfer, Petra, from Dubai. This is her second time staying with me and we always have such interesting conversations about the contrasts between east/west, Muslim/Christian, American life/UAE life. After this visit, I truly feel like I have a real friend all the way in the middle east.
This was my favorite day in a long while.
*Number 3 is my favorite.

that does sound beautiful. sometimes i think if we made these lists about days even when they weren't so awesome....we'd be alot more optimistic. some days just plain suck and you have to suck every little good thing out of them--i'm glad this day was so awesome for you. ~Emily
I'm so glad you're in a good place...savor it. Dwell in it. Duplicate it. Remember it.
beautiful
indeed
