Finally.

I'm 23 years old and progressing in my final semester of college, yet I feel as though I've just arrived. I am finally living the actual life of a collegiate student.

This week I have:

  • Read great and varied books like "Siddhartha" and "The Feminine Mystique."
  • Learned to play chess, and subsequently lost my first three or four games.
  • Attended a lecture by a liberal-socialist German professor of history on "daring to think."
  • Asked myself whether God exists, and why I believe s/he does or does not.
  • Subsisted almost entirely on coffee, energy bars, and vitamin water.
I feel that I'm finally tasting the life of the mind. Whether or not I am privileged to always live a thinker's life, I will be glad to have had experienced it.
